Barbara Grier was a writer, editor, and publisher of articles and books on lesbians and lesbianism. She and her life partner Donna McBride, a librarian, were two of the four founders of Naiad Press, a lesbian publishing house. The collection contains materials which document Grier’s and McBride’s lives, especially their work with Anyda Marchant (a.k.a. Sarah Aldridge) and Muriel Crawford to establish Naiad Press. The collection contains extensive Naiad Press author and publicity files.
