Newscopy: "BRIDGES BEARS DOWN--Los Angeles, Calif., Harry Bridges, as chairman of the California State Convention of the Committee for Industrial Organization which concluded a two day session at the Royal Palms Hotel last night, bore down in the drive to solve many of the National Labor Problems, which confront the body of which he is the West Coast leader. In the balloting yesterday for officers of the newly formed California State Industrial Council, Guild, was elected president, with the Sec-Treasurer's job going to Louis Goldblatt, president Northern California Regional Director for the C.I.O. Photo shows Harry Bridges, West Coast leader, of the C.I.O., coat off and collar loosened, directing the business of the two-day convention.".
