Newscopy: "NOT PICKING A FIGHT--Harry Bridges, longshore leader, addressed the Eight Annual State Convention of the Congress of Industrial Organizations at opening sessions yesterday, backing C.I.O. President Phil Murray in his opposition to President Truman's proposal for congressional-appointed fact-finding bodies in labor disputes. Mr. Bridges said 'nobody's trying to pick a fight with the President," and said no union 'worth its salt' would strike without grievance."
