Newscopy: CIO-AFL Clash Near At Los Angeles Port. Declaring war to the finish on the American Federation of Labor, particularly in the battle over dock workers, three high chieftains of the Committee for Industrial Organization arrived in Los Angeles today. They were: John Brophy, right hand man of the CIO chief John L. Lewis; Harry Bridges, longshoreman head and dictator of the CIO policies on th Pacific Coast, and Leo Pressman, Chief CIO counsel.
