Last November I complained about the neglected lawns at the square. Five months later I'm still complaining. Large patches of ruined grass still 'decorate' the little park where two temporary exhibit buildings of the California Centennial celebration once stood. Last year officials of the Recreation-Park Department assured me the historic park across Kearny-st from the Hall of Justice had not been forgotten. They said the lawns would not only be restored but a small children's playground would also be constructed on the Washington side..."
