Newscopy: "San Francisco, California...For the past three years Frank Tose, director of exhibits at the new Academy of Science building in Golden Gate Park has been mounting specimens gathered by himself and assistants in Africa for the new African Hall, the outstanding exhibit of the academy. Mr. Tose spent fourteen months in Africa with his assistants gathering plant life, making paintings, and plaster models to be used in the new building. All the animals are being mounted in unusually life-like surroundings, masterpieces of scenic art. The life-size giraffe is a remarkable feat of taxidermy. Above is shown Frank Tose working on the finished plaster cast before the skin had been mounted. Note other mounted specimens.".
