Newscopy: "Portraits of two San Francisco naval commanders were placed today in the De Young Museum, with the flesh and blood counterparts of the paintings present for the ceremony. Standing before a portrait of Adm. Chester W. Nimitz are, left to right, Rear Adm. Bertram Rodgers, Mrs. Nimitz, Adm. Nimitz and Mrs. Rodgers. The scene in the portrait shows the admiral standing aboard the flagship Missouri in Tokyo Bay at the signing of the truce ending World War II. At the right of the portrait can be seen Gen. Douglas MacArthur. Adm. Rodgers' portrait also was placed in the museum. The paintings are part of a Navy exhibit being shown throughout the country. They will be at the De Young Museum a month."
