Newscopy: "With the Golden Gate Bridge in the background, and the broad Pacific in front, the bridge of the cruiser San Francisco, battered by Japanese shells in the battle of Guadalcanal, faces out to sea once more. Rescued from a scrap heap in Golden Gate Park, the cruiser's bridge has been fashioned into a memorial at Land's End to honor the 100 men of the ship who lost their lives in the battle. It will be dedicated this Sunday. This picture was taken by a Navy photographer from a Hiller helicopter.".
