Newscopy: "On a certain day in 1906, St. Luke's looked like this. The building was dedicated in 1900, the earthquake ruined it, and what was left soon was destroyed by necessary dynamiting Within four years, however, the present St. Luke's was completed, and now houses an active congregation of 700, who participate in a nursery school, two choirs, youth and young adult groups and fellowship work."
