Written on front: "SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 19--THE DOOR WAS OPEN--This is the telephone booth on the fringe of one of San Francisco's most exclusive residential districts that Joe Lear, 43, was using to call the brother of kidnapped Leonard Moskovitz early today when he was seen by patrolling police inspectors. One of the officers, Inspector Al Nelder, noticed the man was talking in the dark, with the door of the booth partially opened. He grabbed Lear and split the case wide open and rescued Moskovitz, missing since last Saturday, unharmed. They arrested Harold Jackson, 57, in a house and found Moskovitz in one of the rooms. The kidnappers wanted to settle for $3,000,000 ransom."
