Newscopy: "One of the city's most attractive and most-needed recreation centers, the $417,000 Chinese Recreation Center at Washington and Mason-sts, is to be dedicated Sunday. The new building, which is not yet completed, contains a gym, craft rooms and an auditorium. There will be outdoor play areas, too. The building, financed by the Master Plan for Youth bond in 1947, will be a community center for adults and children alike in the crowded Chinatown area."
