Newscopy: "If you've got a pile of garbage to hide, and you're smart, you hide it. But if you're San Francisco's Recreation-Park Department, you put the garbage out on the Great Highway where it can be seen by everyone. The two photos accompanying this article demonstrate the exquisite good taste of Rec-Park. The pile of old light standards, taken from Sunset Boulevard, is at Land's End, where the Rec-Park intellects have made a dump instead of trying to fix up and improve the city's most beautiful and exhilarating views. It was not enough for them to make a dump there. They then had, for some reason, to dismantle partially these old light standards and dump them along the Great Highway to add to the barrier that bars citizens from the beach.".
