On back: "Residents of San Francisco's Richmond District were without water - and gas - Monday, May 20, when a water main broke at Twenty-second Avenue and Geary Streets, causing the pavement to give away and breaking a gas line. Many workmen had to leave home without their morning cup of coffee - and housewives had to forego the Monday washing schedule. Workmen, busy in cloud of gas, are shown repairing the damage.".
