Folder: S.F. Districts-Presidio-Traffic Patrol.
Printed on back: "(Top Cap.) 3,000 CAME -- ATE ARMY CHOW -- AND CHEERED! (Bot. Cap.) Even a wide angle lens cannot well show 3,000 energetic youngsters, yet the above shot shows a goodly portion of the enthusiastic crowd of 3,000 members of the San Francisco Junior Traffic Patrol -- that fine organization of school boys who direct traffic on heavily traveled thoroughfares each morning and afternoon -- who were the guests of the 30th Infantry and Quartermaster Corps' School for Bakers and Cooks at the Presidio recently. The menu? Good old Army beans, and they were good! Cabbage salad; Pickled beets; Bread and butter; Doughnuts; and Lemonade. The youngsters not only voted Army chow tops, but they came back for seconds with avidity. The Quartermaster Corps of the Army cared for them well, so they reported. They met the Army: the Army met them -- and everybody was delighted.".
