Newscopy: "'We can't take sides,' said the Anglo-California Bank, so down came this sign at its Market and Jones branch, put up by the Cooks Union, Local 44, which leases space in the bank building. Said Fred Weider, spokesman for No. 1 proponents, 'The bank threatened to break the union's lease - but during the anti-picketing fight, the union was allowed to have signs up.' Bank officials replied, 'There's a bigger sign still up around the corner on the Market-st side.'".
