Newscopy: "BANK OF AMERICA SERVICE CENTER--First phase of construction of the $13,000,000 Bank of America Service Center, at Market street and South Van Ness avenue, got under way today with the start of excavating. The structure, to be completed late in 1959, will be eight stories and have the largest usable floor space of any office building in the city. The site comprises 1 1/2 acres."
