Folder: S.F. Banks-California Savings.
Written on back: "The power of newspaper advertising was again demonstrated when more than 10,000 visitors thronged California Savings' new building at 46 Geary Street during the first two days of the savings association's open house. This was in response to invitations published by the management in the Call-Bulletin and other San Francisco newspapers. The public celebrations, honoring California Savings' 70th year, continues through Friday, with drawing for door prizes headed by a television set. Among unique features of the building designed by San Francisco architect Ward Thomas are 'floating lighted ceilings.' Each plastic fixture is 12ft. wide by 50ft. long, fitted with fluorescent tubes for daylight effect.".
