Folder: S.F. Banks-Wells Fargo.
Newscopy (1965 Jun. 30): "How does a skyscraper grow? San Franciscans, who have been watching the tallest building in the West as it steadily progresses into being, know that the mammoth Wells Fargo Bank Building at Sutter and Montgomery Streets has grown under - or rather, over - their noses. These photos tell the story. The site was cleared in August of 1963. There was an enormous amount of work to be done before the first steel was erected in 1964. In September of that year the work had progressed to a little more than four completed floors of steel work."
