Folder: S.F. Farmers Market (Alemany).
Printed on back: "SAN FRANCISCO FARMERS' MARKET IS TEN YEARS OLD--Photo shows thriving Market located at Alemany and Bayshore Boulevards. The Market was born Aug. 12, 1943 to meet farmers' need for an urban outlet for wartime surplus crops. At first operated by farmers themselves, with aid from a local Victory Garden group, on a lot opposite the U. S. Mint, the Market came under municipal supervision in 1944 and was moved to its present location in 1947. Market has played a large part in fostering friendly city-country relations.".
