Newscopy: "Chief Administrative Officer Thomas A. Brooks delivered the principal address Saturday as San Francisco's new Farmers Market was dedicated at Alemany-blvd and San Bruno-av. In background are the new selling stalls. Sixty thousand persons were on hand for the dedication, and 115 trucks rolled into the market during the day bearing produce of the Bay Area. Evelyn La Place, president of the Central Council of Civic Clubs, broke a bottle of champagne to dedicate an 80-foot flagpole honoring John Brucato, market founder."
