Newscopy: "Being demolished is the McCreery Library Branch No. 2, on 16th st., between Prosper and Pond sts. The 55-year-old library, declared unsafe after its roof was damaged in the March 22, 1957, earthquake, was donated to the city in 1903 by Andrew J. McCreery, The Library Commission has asked $125,000 in its 1958-59 budget for a new McCreery branch library."
McCreery Branch was demolished in 1958 and the Eureka Valley/Harvey Milk Memorial Branch is now on the site.
