Folder: S.F. Businesses-Glaser Bros.
Printed on back: "Artistic embellishment go hand in hand with model efficiency in the new $600,000 plant of Glaser Bros. at 855 Harrison Street in San Francisco. Marcus Glaser, president of the firm, commissioned the famed San Francisco muralist, Joe Moya del Pino to paint this floor-to-ceiling mural on a well inside the entrance to the new plant, colorfully identifying the cities in California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington in which the 30 Glaser Bros. branch houses are located. The Indian figure is reminiscent of the old-time 'cigar store Indian' identified with the early days of tobacco retailing in San Francisco. Attorney General Edmund G. Brown dedicated the building yesterday at 12 noon, and an invitational open house followed from noon to 5 p.m."
