Newscopy: "Washington Packing Corp.'s new plant at 2 Rankin st. was virtually at a standstill today. Only five of its 70 employes puttered around the cannery, one of the finest and most modern of its kind in the industry when it suspended its tuna packing operations last April 4. Only two of 5.3 million cans of tuna packed since the new plant opened last Dec. 21 have been found to be tainted with deadly Type E botulism. At the cannery, John Peterson, secretary and vice president of the firm, said he didn't know what the future held.".
