Newscopy: "ELEVEN YOUNGSTERS ON A GREAT ADVENTURE--The entire school-age population of Sawyers Bar, in the heart of Siskiyou County, start sight-seeing in San Francisco today under guidance of W. H. Battershell, their teacher. The 11 youngsters spent the night at Hotel St. Francis. They are on a four-day tour. Only two of them ever had ridden on a train before. Not one has ridden on a streetcar, an elevator or escalator, let alone seen the ocean or a ship."
