Newscopy: "This huge new Diesel electric switch engine, and another like it, today joined the steam locomotives in handling the wartime burden of waterfront traffic. As the locomotives were delivered they were admired by members of the Board of Harbor Commissioners and officers of the San Francisco Regiment, Volunteer Port Security Force, U.S. Coast Guard. The locomotives, each of 1000 horsepower, are capable of pulling 80 to 100 loaded freight cars. Standing by the locomotive in the picture are, left to right: JOS.
