Newscopy (1948 Aug. 21): "ICEPLANT GREW on Fillmore-st in 1905 when one dinky acted as a counterbalance for the other on the grade. Buses took over the ancient line Aug. 1, and conversion now under way will put trolley coach service on by Dec. 1."
