Newscopy: "Those Missing Numbers In Rear of Muni Buses--Editor: On November 25, 1959, Arthur Caylor ran an item in his column regarding the lack of identifying numbers in the rear of Municipal buses. Again on Dec. 5 another item. On Dec. 11 there was an article on the editorial page with photo. A letter from a reader was published on the 12th and, on the 30th, Caylor again ran an item. His column of Jan. 20 also had another item. In spite of this the Municipal Railway continues to ignore the matter. There seems to be no good reason for not having the numbers in the rear of the buses. There are racks provided in each bus, and their use has been discontinued for a comparatively short time. Probably some efficiency expert decided that a couple of minutes per man could be saved daily. This is a real inconvenience to the public as well as constituting a danger.--IRATE BUS RIDER, S.F.".
