Newscopy: "First concrete for a $3.2 million addition to French Hospital, Fifth ave. and Geary blvd., is poured by Mayor Christopher at conclusion of a brief ceremony yesterday. Blessing the pour is the Rev. Julian Marquis, pastor of Notre Dame des Victoires Catholic Church. The four-story 'L-shaped' building, to be completed in 1962, will have a capacity of 207 beds and a surgery area. The century-old hospital is operated by La Societe Francaise de Bienfaisance Mutuelle."
