Newscopy: "A bulldozer rips into a number of old wards adjoining the main building at Letterman Hospital in the Presidio, as a worker plays a stream of water on the debris to keep the dust down. Work began today on clearing the way for a new 550-bed modern structure on the site of the old. At right is a sketch of the new Hospital as it will look on completion, probably some time in 1968. Congress has appropriated $13.7 million toward the project."
