AS THE WORLD'S LARGEST BRIDGE NEARS COMPLETION - The gigantic steel span that will connect San Francisco and Oakland across San Francisco Bay now is rapidly nearing completion, and this view from one of the towers of the suspension span, looking toward the Oakland shore, shows the work of installing the steel flooring. The cantilever bridge that continues from Yerba Buena Island to Oakland is shown in the distance, while to the left of Yerba Buena is the fill that will be the scene of the 1939 World's Fair, celebration completion of the world's two largest bridges.
