On back: "WATCH YOUR CREDIT... 'P & A PHOTOS' N144921. NEW YORK CITY BUREAU. ISADORA DUNCAN CHOKED IN CAR BY HER SCARF! - A silken scarf of red, - the colour of which she was fond, which seems to have symbolized her radicalism, took to the wind, while she was learning to drive a new motor on a via at Nice, France, and became caught in the rear wheels, - choking, and breaking her neck. The car was stopped instantly, and her body was limp. With her and a chauffeur, was a British newspaper woman, who was helping Miss Duncan to prepare her 'Memoirs.' This is a picture of the now late Isadora Duncan - famous for her barefoot dances, and dance interpretations, taken during her prime. B-NY-SFM-9-15-27".
