On back: "This photograph taken from a low-flying airplane shows the amazing building progress being made on Treasure Island, San Francisco Bay site of the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition. The towers in the foreground are known as the East Towers and form the eastern terminal of the Palace of Homes and Gardens. Beyond the Court of Flowers is the Triumphal Arch, and at the end of the Court of Reflections, to the west of the arch, is the 400-foot Tower of the Sun. In the background can be seen the towers of San Francisco. (GOLDEN GATE INTERNATIONAL EXPOSITION) R-739".
