Newscopy: "William L. McFetridge, A. F. L. Building Service Employes Union international president, conferred here today with local union officials on strategy for the theater janitors' strike. Mr. McFetridge, who arrived yesterday from Chicago after a stop-over in Los Angeles, will meet with representatives of the union's 35 Northern California locals Friday morning. He and members of Building Service Local 87, a sister local of striking Theater Janitors Local 9, joined picket lines at movie houses today. Mr. McFetridge, who also is a member of the A. F. L. executive board, said both the Building Service Employes Union and the A. F. L. will give striking janitors 'full support in securing their objectives which we think are wholly inadequate, because of the high cost of living.' The janitors are seeking a 10 percent pay raise..."
