Folder: S.F. Strikes-1951-Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Company.
Newscopy: "A four-man picket line was stationed at each of the phone company exchanges here today as a national strike of equipment workers began. But as the photos at left and right show, normal phone service continued. In center picture, company employes stand on curb refusing to pass pickets in front of the Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Co.'s offices at 440 Bush-st. However, on other side of pickets an elderly woman employe defies them and enters building. The women chatting as usual are Bernice Oakes at a pay phone and Mrs. Roberta Habel on an office phone."
