Folder: S.F. Strikes-1951-Southern Pacific.
Newscopy: "The hardy commuter, who somehow manages to get to work despite strikes and other vagaries of public transportation, is happy again. The S. P. trains are running. This was the first commute train to take off from the Third and Townsend depot last night, marking end of the 'sickness strike' of switchmen. Waving farewell to the city are commuters who came to work by bus or in the private autos of friends - and went home by train."
