Newscopy: "PAYOFF--C. I. O. longshoremen lined up at the Ferry Building today to receive checks from the Army covering a retroactive wage increase of 22c an hour awarded last june. These men handled military cargo. Meanwhile, the union has filed a five-million-dollar suit here against the Pacific Waterfront Employers Association to collect the back pay from private employers."
