Newscopy: "Here is George Carter's first prize photograph of the Palace of Fine Arts. Carter used a Rolleiflex camera with a K2 filter, exposing for 60 seconds to catch the cloud formation in the sky, providing a natural background for the building's architectural beauty. Now a resident of San Bernardino, Carter wrote: "We wish to add that we were residents of San Francisco for 10 years and we feel it would be a shame and a great loss to the city and its people to tear this Palace of Fine Arts down or do nothing to keep it in reasonable repair. We hope your Proposition B succeeds."
