On back: "BREAKING GROUND--Rev. John F. X. Connolly, S. J., President of the University of San Francisco, Charles Kendrick, Chairman of the USF Board of Regents (center) and Francis R. Walsh, Dean of the School of Law, on the site of the University's new School of Law Building. The University announced today that it had awarded the contract for construction of the new building to the M & K Corporation of San Francisco. M & K's bid of $1,335,000 was the lowest of those submitted for the job. The three story building, made possible through a gift to the University from Mr. and Mrs. Kendrick, will be built at the corner of Fulton and Shrader Streets, across the street from the USF campus. The new building will be finished in time for the celebration of the USF Law School's 50th anniversary in the Fall of 1962. It will extend along the South side of Fulton Street and will be of unusual circular design. The architect is Milton T. Pflueger."
