On back: "Chinese girls play ping-pong at the San Francisco Recreation Center in the heart of San Francisco's Chinatown. This playground is crowded with Chinese youngsters every day after school hours in as much as there are no backyards in Chinatown, and the children find the Recreation Center an ideal spot for play. According to the director of the playground, Chinese youngsters prove excellent in their leadership in games and up to the age of 14 and 15 take precedent over their American brothers and sisters. However, as they get older and in the more strenuous sports, they are handicapped because of their light weight and small stature."
