Folder: S.F. Fire Department-Engine 15 (Old)
Newscopy on back: "OLD FIREHOUSE WILL BE AMONG THEIR SOUVENIRS - One of San Francisco's most familiar land-marks, Engine Co. 15 Firehouse at 2150 California street, is to be torn down but will live in memory. Architects from the Northern California Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, National Park Service and students from UC architectural school have joined to create accurate drawings of the Gothic type structure. Built in 1884 it is noted for its unique adornments, including a huge fireman's helmet, fire hydrants and carved heads of early fire chiefs. Drawings and measurements will be sent to the Library of Congress. Picture below shows Fifi Branner, Park Service architect, on ladder with Fireman Ray Hines. -- Call Bulletin Photos."
