Folder: S.F. Ships-Jewel.
Information taped on back of photo: "The steam schooner JEWEL, 265 tons, was a product of the now forgotten San Francisco shipyards located on Mission Creek at 6th Street. Her builder was Alexander Hay and she was one of seventeen of the new type launched in the year 1888. Here the JEWEL steams past a big down-Easter, just in from Cape Horn, anchored off Meiggs Wharf."
