Folder: S.F. Ships-Fireboats.
Written on back: "Expectations of fireboat more than satisfied. A fireboat at San Pedro Harbor having its initials demonstration recently, more than satisfied expectations. Pumping with six engines it throw 29 streams, aggregating 12,000 gallons to the minute. Fifteen newspaper and motion picture and motion picture cameramen on the observation boat received a wetting and five hundred spectators on a deck were doused when a stream from the fireboat went astray. The boat shows radical departures in design, making for increased speed and pumping capacity. The engines constitute the largest installation of gas engines on any vessel, it is sail. After another week at the shipyard, the boat will take up temporary quarters on the east side of the main channel of the harbor. This picture shows the aquatic flame fighter after passing test."
