Richmond, Berkeley and Oakland residents who work in San Francisco are swarming aboard Southern Pacific mainline trains bound for San Francisco. At the Oakland Mole they transfer to ferries, recalling the time when a ferry ride on the sunlit Bay was in interlude of pleasure at the beginning and end of everyday."
