Folder: S.F. Police-Policemen-McCool, Bill.
Newscopy: "He Walks - by night and day. He is cherry-cheeked officer Bill McCool, 42-year-old San Francisco Policeman. At night Patrolman McCool, minion of the law, can be found walking his beat on Irving St., between Seventh and 19th aves. McCool alternates shifts, working the 4 until midnight one week, then starting his assignment at the Witching Hour and working until 8 o'clock the next morning the following week. Still, Bill McCool, golfer, who walks the fairways by day finds plenty of time for his favorite sport, either playing at Harding Park mornings or late afternoons, as his hours change. And McCool does his "day walking" well. He is the 1958 City golf champion. Don't try to tell McCool that only postmen take a hike on their day off."
