If he makes it he will be the first horse to perform the feat, perhaps the first to attempt it. He is owned by Police Officer Dan McSweeney, who will swim alongside when the attemt is made, in about two months. Yesterday Comanche and McSweeney took their regular workout in the Bay off Hunter's Point. Both spent an active 30 minutes in the water, and horse emerged fresher than man, although the policeman is himself a strong swimmer.
