Newscopy: "A 'sit-in' and 'write-in' strike--newest variation of the 'sit-down' technique, today found twenty discharged WPA 'white collar' workers installed in the lobby of the WPA district administrator's office at 49 Fourth street. Bundled in blankets, they spent the night onthe cold cement floor and in chairs, awoke with aching backs and knotted muscles. Radio and books whiled away dragging hours. They say they'll 'sit-in' all summer to force restoration of jobs in theater, sewing and writing projects, deeply cut."
