Newscopy: "White collar workers on WPA projects protesting against discharge of relief employees today occupied the main offices of the WPA at 49 Fourth-st. They spent the night outside the office of WPA Administrator W. R. Lawson. Officers of the Clerical and Professional Projects Association said they would remain until they received assurance workers would be reinstated. Meanwhile Mr. Lawson announced state and district WPA offices will be combined in a general office here to expedite issuance of pay checks."
