Box P649 -- Folder: Sims, L-Z
Newscopy: "Members of the hitherto little-known W.E.B. Dubois Clubs are taking an increasingly active part in the civil rights struggle in San Francisco. The secretary of the San Francisco club, 18 year old Tracy Sims, was the one leaders of the weekend picketing outside the Sheraton-Palace Hotel. She candidly describes the purpose off the Dubois Clubs: 'They study Marxism and Leninism to see if they apply to today's problems.' They do, Miss Sims enthusiastically confirms. The clubs--there are three in the Bay Area--'participate actively', Tracy says, 'in all struggles'--civil rights, peace, the labor movement and international affairs."
