Newscopy: "More than two hundred youthful demonstrators were carted to paddywagons at the Sheraton-Palace Hotel before dawn in the largest mass arrest in San Francisco history. Another 450, recruited mostly from Bay Area colleges, stretched out on chairs and the floor in the hotel lobby in a 'sleep in.' But within an hour young agitators exhorted them to demonstrate again. 'One group has gone to jail. Why not us?' they said. The demonstrators, many in sandles, many wearing beards and all disheveled, were urged to phone friends and double their ranks. They began marching and singing in the lobby at 9:30 a.m. and their leaders threatened to continue the protest indefinitely as these developments occured: [...].
