Folder: S.F. Protests and Picketing-1964-Sheraton Palace Hotel.
Newscopy: "Bedlam in the Sheraton-Palace Hotel mounted explosively this afternoon as spokesmen for the major hotels said they'd no longer deal with the demonstration's collegiate leaders. Joseph Sullivan, executive secretary of the San Francisco Hotel Employers Association, said the leaders are 'irresponsible' and their demands 'impossible.' Two hundred or so youthful demonstrators were carted to paddywagons before dawn in the largest mass arrest in San Francisco history. Three girls and a man sing their freedom chants as they sit in paddy wagon."
